Luca Argel
Luca Argel is a Brazilian singer and songwriter, from Rio de Janeiro
He graduated with a degree in music from UNIRIO. He holds a master's degree in Literature from the University of Porto, in Portugal. He migrated overseas in 2012 to study and stayed there.
He is the vocalist and composer of the groups Samba Sem Fronteiras and Orquestra Bamba Social , with whom he shares the joy of spreading the sound and poetry of Brazilian music in Portugal.
He divides his time between the stages and other projects, such as soundtracks for dance and cinema, radio programs and podcasts dedicated to Brazilian music, and literary production.
He has poetry books published in Brazil, Spain, and Portugal. One of them was a semifinalist for the 2017 Oceanos Prize, considered one of the most important literary prizes among Portuguese-speaking countries.
