Groove&

We had an opportunity to visit Seoul, Korea in September to participate in a showcase of Traditional Korean Music. This trip completely blew us away and started a deep dive into the complex and rich repertoire of the genre. While in Lisbon at WOMEX 22 we had an opportunity to film a performance with the Groove& ensemble. These three women, Sangkyung LEE, Minju SOHN, and Hakyung KIM, are renowned Korean traditional percussionists who explore a "groove" aesthetic with their performance, while obviously expanding the range of opportunities for female performers in the Korean Percussion field. They create an amazing vibe that is instantly recognizable as something special.
